Abstract

This article is part of the ongoing doctoral research in the area of Literature and Culture PPGLITCULT UFBA on the study of the performance of the body present in Slam poetry with a cut for artists and groups in Brazil In this work we dialogue with the definition of Slam poetry directing us to our main object of study the Slam do Corpo the first Slam for deaf and hearing people in Brazil During this brief study we will discuss about deaf poetry and its main characteristics as well as the influence of Slam do Corpo in the process of self-representation of deaf communities in Brazil
