Abstract

Terrorism is the part of caste and communal violence which has become a permanent part of our society Terrorism creates a psychological state of extreme fear and anxiety same as the proportion to the physical damage it causes in terms of loss of life and property Sensing the gravity of problems arising out of these situations in Kashmir a study was planned in order to see the level of perceived social support stress and quality of life among the students of Kashmir in state of Jammu and Kashmir India by comparing them with the students of Jaipur in the state of Rajasthan India The sample of 50 Kashmiri students and 50 Jaipur residing students of the age group of 20-25 years was taken tests were administered and t-ratiowas applied Results revealed that there was a significant difference between the level of stress and social support among the migrated Kashmir students and Jaipur residing students Although there was no significant difference among them in the level of quality of life but the difference was clearly observed at the mean level Thus perceived social support stress and quality of life were found better in the case of students residing in Jaipur
