This work addresses the political ideas developed by Jean-Jacques Rousseau 28 June 1712 - 2 July 1778 and from the romanticism by Benjamin Constant 25 October 1767 - 8 December 1830 about sovereignty As regards this concept the aim is to show the similarities and differences from which these authors start when they define among other aspects its nature sources and limits
