Abstract
This article had the purpose to analyze the rural land valorization of a major Brazilian city in coffee production in the period of expansion of coffee production into the northeast of S o Paulo state at the end of the 19th century In this research we aimed to understand the value of the lands and the impact of land improvements and of coffee plantations on the prices of rural lands
