Abstract
The purpose of this Article is to show the position of the Yoruba and the Igbo people of Nigeria regarding the adoption of wisdom in whatever one does This research work focuses on the proverbs that Nigerian Yoruba and Igbo people often use to express wisdom in doing things and then show how helpful wisdom can be when adopted in decision making This research work therefore aims at exploring the social implications of the usage of proverbs having to do with wisdom and how this can help individuals in arriving at instrumental decisions at all times
