Analysing the Factors Affecting Worker Wellbeing in A Workplace Perspective

Abstract

Workplace wellbeing has emerged as a critical factor influencing employee productivity, organizational performance, and occupational safety. In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the construction industry plays a vital role in economic development but presents unique challenges that may affect workers' physical, psychological, and social wellbeing. Construction workers are frequently exposed to demanding working conditions, including high temperatures, tight project schedules, physically strenuous tasks, and multicultural work environments. This article analyzes the key factors affecting worker wellbeing in the UAE construction industry and examines how these factors influence health, safety, job satisfaction, and organizational outcomes. The study highlights the importance of leadership support, workplace safety culture, mental health initiatives, work-life balance, environmental conditions, and employee engagement in creating healthier and more productive workplaces.
